You were so loving and caring and sharing. When Anne Marie married my Dad and I was in fourth grade. When David was born and Dad was sent to the Alaska for a year's duty with the Air Force, you came into my life. You helped us find a place to stay in Lemay, Missouri and became our family. You didn't know us, but you loved us so much. You took us in and let us, all seven of us stay in your home and treated us like family. We had so much fun that year we spent in Missouri. Visiting Uncle Bonner and his playing piano, playing ping pong when we weren't using the table for holiday dinners. I took my 8th grade graduation pictures in your back yard. Then when I was 18 you let me stay with you for a week at Christmastime. I flew for the first time alone and came to stay with you and you always made me feel at home. You truly loved me and I loved you, enough to go out of our way when we came back from Florida to visit with you that one last time where you were staying. You brought us up on your family history and when we had the family reunion, when Uncle Barney took the family picture, we were a great part of it, even though Anne Marie and my Dad were no longer with us. You have been a great mother to your daughters and a great inspiration to all who knew you. You loved us all with all your heart. You will be rejoicing in heaven with Anne Marie, Jeri and your beloved Kenny. I love you and know you have earned your reward in heaven. I will miss you greatly, especially our talks over the phone. Rest in Peace! You deserve all of God's rewards. Mary Lou Cox

Dear Samuels family, since all of our family was in New York and Mobile, I remember those lovely days when we were able to spend time with the Samuels. Your dad was a lovely soul, always a smile and a kind word. Just as your mother was and it reflected through you guys. The hoppers extend prayers of comfort. Jude
Dear Samuels family,
I'm sending my sincere heartfelt condolences for your loss. I personally have amazing memories of Mr. Samuels. I always felt welcomed in your home and NEVER recall him being angry. He was "That Dad" we all loved. I remember working with him at the stadium as an avid St. Louis Cardinals lover. What "dad" does that? Mr. Samuels! I also recall him being frugal. I dont know why I remember that, but for some reason, as a kid, I admired that. And Mrs. Samuels was also so welcoming and kind. I felt like they were my second parents.
I've never said this before, but wish I would have before he passed. Maybe a lesson to let an older generation know how they impacted your life. Anyway, I send my love to the entire family. Mr. Samuels will be dearly missed. God Bless, Jeff Tendick
Sorry to hear Kurt of your dad's passing. Prayers for you and your family! Never easy to say goodbye to a parent or loved one! Cathey Smith and Tom Morton
Dear Teresa and family,

Mr. Samuels was an incredible man. Will never forget our wonderful trip to Alaska in 2011. Mr. Samuels had always wanted to see Denali National Park…so at age 83 he went with me and Kurt and got it done…what a trooper and inspiration he was! John Rieck

She enjoyed going to the lake to fish, swim, tube and ski with family and friends. She liked shopping for purses and shoes (so MANY shoes!). Tayler loved blankets… and could often be found wrapped up snuggling in one. She loved The Eagles – particularly the song Hotel California. She was a devoted mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, niece, and friend to many. With the birth of her son, Carter, came a hope of recovery from her addictions, but the demons were stronger than her poor body. Her kindhearted spirit was taken from us suddenly. We will miss her every day for the rest of our lives. Private services will be at a later date. An account for her son, Carter Hagedorn, has been set up in memoriam. Mail donations to: Carter Hagedorn, 10714 Roxanna Dr., St. Louis, MO 63128. Leave a Condolence
Can’t believe you’re gone. We will miss you and love you, always.

To my wife, the love of my life, I am most thankful for the years we had together. I know you as the kindest most energetic lady who looked for the best in everyone. You devoted your help in activities at Saint Cecelia's Catholic Church in Kennett Missouri, was a member of Senath Women's Club, member of Senath Parks Board, donated handmade quilts to be auctioned for charities and was always available to help anyone who needed it. You have many friends and family who will miss you as I do. You will always be my "Leebabe". I love you.
I'm 58 and Rosi was my second mother since I was probably 8. She was a joy to be around, she always was hugging on me with a tear in her eye because she always said how much I look like my mother. My mother was her best friend in life until her passing. Lord only knew the secrets those two shared, always giggling. Together again gals ?. That thought makes me smile. Rest in peace sweet lady. Love you

At age 98, Michael is now in God’s hands and reunited with his beloved wife, Ruth Katherine, and his beloved son, Christopher James. He was born in Sheldon Connecticut in 1921, grew up in Evanston, Illinois and was a lifelong Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Second World War as a Captain starting with D day. At the end of the war he was formally recognized by the Polish Government for his work serving the former prisoners of war and concentration camp survivors with clothing and other essentials to return to life as it was at the time. At the end of his service and returning to Fort Jackson in South Carolina, he met and married Ruth thus starting a new life. He and Ruth, along with two sons, moved back to Evanston, where he went to work for H.J. Heinz, the brand of choice at the dinner table. The family moved to St. Louis in 1959 where he lived out his life in the family home until recently. In post- retirement, Michael had a temporary position at Commerce Bank in Webster Groves, for 18 years and developed great friendships until he retired again. His vegetable gardens followed his father’s tradition of the bigger the better, and he enjoyed gardening and caring for Ruth’s roses planted around the yard. He loved hearing the exploits of his five grandchildren who lived in various locations around the world in a vast array of occupations. While dementia stole many of his recent memories, he always smiled when he thought of his family and memories of his beloved Ruth. He was able to experience great care with Charter Senior Living Center memory care unit where the caregivers were able to help make his final months more enjoyable with activities, and music and friendships. He was crowned Valentine’s Day King at the Senior Prom this past February and enjoyed the happy hours and celebrations they had every week. While COVID took Michael, the caregivers of Barnes Jewish Hospital gave countless hours to care for him and others in the COVID ward. Heartfelt thanks to Beth, Dr. Brinkmann, and the Pastoral Care team who coordinated visits via facetime and phone calls with family around the world to let Michael know he was loved and have time with him to say goodbye.
A memorial celebration of life will be held at a future date. If desired, please send a donation in Michael’s name to your favorite charity or the Alzheimer’s Association https://www.alz.org/.

Duke, you were my friend for many, many years. You brought me a lot of laughter fun and taught me what real friendship is all about. My heart is deeply saddened because you left us much sooner than we expected, but I want you to know that you were loved by so many here in Nashville. Actually, more than you will ever know. To the family Mike and all siblings and other relatives of Duke. He was indeed a great friend. I spent many hours with Duke over at his apartment trying to teach him how to use every new gadget he bought. He loved to buy new computers even though he had no clue how to use them LOL. That was my job! He would call me and say "Stephen you need to get over here, I don't know what I'm doing" LOL. The final word is I loved him, so did many other friends here in Nashville. We ALL loved Duke and forever and always he will remain a good friend in our hearts.
Duke was a Great Man!! My condolence to you all.
Blessings, Vic Lineweaver

Although I only met Mr. Hoffmann two times, the love for his family was so apparent. I first met Mr. Hoffmann at Kelsey and Case’s engagement party. It was inspiring to see the love between Grandpa Harold and Grandma Dot as a new chapter began for Case and Kelsey. I next met Grandpa Harrold at Kelsey and Case’s wedding. Deep down, he was so happy for his granddaughter. He didn’t let his walker stop him from dancing with his wife and it was such a precious moment. I am sure the family will remember it for a long time to come and that he was so happy to be there to celebrate.

It is with great sadness that we learned of Carol Buritsch’s passing. Carol lived a marvelous, joyful life, touching everyone around her with happiness. She was my second cousin and beloved cousin of our mutual cousin, Audrey Sodemann. Whenever I visited Audrey in St. Louis, a highlight of that visit was seeing Carol and spending time with her. We loved her and will miss her. Our heartfelt sympathy to her daughter Susan and her son Steven and her entire family.
