Asleep in Jesus on April 2, 2024 from natural causes. Irma was the wife of the late Theodore H. Wallis; sister of the late Hildegarde (Raymond C.) Kolaks, Viola (Elwood E.) White, Irene (Delmar) Hutteger, and Rosemarie (Melvin) Hecht; also a beloved aunt, great aunt, great great aunt, cousin and friend of many in St. Louis area and in Cape County. Born on October 16, 1927 to Otto and Rosa E. Roth, Irma was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawneetown, MO and attended Trinity School. She and Ted were married on June 10, 1945 at Trinity Church.
Irma worked for 25 years at the Central States Paper Company, volunteered for over 30 years at the Lutheran Resale Shop in St. Louis, and also for many years was the ever-present greeter at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in suburban Sunset Hills. She and Ted loved traveling, attending Bible Classes, and collecting friends everywhere. They shared their Savior’s love with everyone they met –sincere witnesses to His love for all of us.
Funeral services at Fey Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 9 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Resurrection Lutheran Church, 9907 Sappington Road, St. Louis, MO 63128, or to the Lutheran Hour (broadcast), 660 Mason Ridge Center Drive, St. Louis, MO 63141.
