Elizabeth Darlene Sturgill

Elizabeth Darlene Sturgill passed on February 22, 2024 at age 73. Loving life partner of Karen Leigh (Juul) Franklin; daughter of James Edward Sturgill and Eunice Vivian (Rollins) Sturgill;  sister of Shelby J. Roth (Sturgill) and the late Glenn E. Sturgill, Sonny D. Sturgill and Patricia Harlow (Sturgill); step mother of Tonja G’Sell (Franklin) and Rich G’Sell, Jay Franklin and Cynthia Franklin; step grandmother of Morgan Kreatzman, Madelyn G’Sell, Teagan Franklin and Kennedy Franklin; step great grandma of Rya Krewtzman; aunt of Sherry K. Hewsley, Misty Sturgill, Glenn E. Sturgill Jr., Delona Wampler, Kathy Miles, Timothy Harlow, Loucretia Cottrill, Robyn D. Roth, Robyn Peters and Jared Peters. Liz was an avid fisherwoman, bowler, and loved to play darts. She was also a champion pool player and won 2nd place in Terry Eddleman Memorial Billiards League 1985-1986. She coached a women’s softball team for several years and, as a teenager, played football as a quarterback with all male players. She loved St. Louis Cardinals. Liz was dedicated as a training instructor in the U.S. Air Force for new recruits and served in the Air Force for 4 years. She also loved her animals dearly, especially Skye and CC.  Memorial gathering on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Fey Funeral Home from 1-3 p.m. with a Time of Remembrance service at 2 p.m.
