William C. Swann Jr., fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Carmella Swann for 33 years and the late Virginia Swann; dear father of Courtney B. Swann (John Mickelson) and the late William C. Swann III; beloved stepfather of Jeanine and Glenn; cherished grandfather of William Coe, Patricia Ann (Jeff), Lindsey, Stephen, and Lauren; proud great-grandfather of Logan, Finnegan, Callista, C.J., Rowan, and Jordy Coe. Dear son of the late William and Ethel Swann Sr.; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard, serving his country with honor and devotion. He found quiet enjoyment in caring for his yard and took great pleasure in traveling extensively around the world with his wife, journeys that enriched their lives and provided many cherished memories.
Visitation will be held at St. Matthias Catholic Church Chapel from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.
