Sister Suzanne Wesley (S. Joan Raymond), CSJ, age 79, passed away on June 6, 2024 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis. She was a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for over 60 years. She was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, to Norman R. and Joan Rachel (Brunsell) Wesley. She was a sister, nurse, aunt, teacher, mentor and friend to many. S. Suzanne was a dedicated nurse and had a degree in gerontology (1975) and a master’s degree in public health (1981), both from St. Louis University. She served in many roles as a nurse and administrator, most notably at St. Joseph Hospital in Kirkwood, MO (1981-97). She had a special love of caring for the elderly, serving at Cardinal Ritter Senior Services as the chief executive officer (2002-17). Funeral Mass will be at Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet Motherhouse in the Holy Family Chapel on June 20, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
