Ronald E. Loida passed away on Wednesday July 13th, 2022 at the age of 77 surrounded by his wife and children. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann [nee Mennemyer]; He was the loving father of Susan Northcutt, Ronald L. Loida, Melinda [Steve] Ellis, and John [Sherry] Loida; Grandfather of Robert, Nikki, Jessie, Jeffery, Dustin, Amanda, Trevor, Katie, Emily, Alyssa, and John Jr; as well as the great grandfather of seven; brother of Larry Loida; and close family friend, Pam Hart; loving father-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael, daughter Catherine, and his brother Jerry.
Ronald was born on February 20th, 1945 in St Louis, Missouri to Lawrence and Adele Loida. He attended grade school at Assumption Catholic School in St. Louis, Missouri and Holy Martyrs of Japan Missouri. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Ann [Mennemyer], in 1962. This year the admired couple would’ve celebrated 60 years of marriage. Ronald built his family home himself in 1978, in Eureka, Missouri where he resided most of his married life.
Ronald was a very hardworking and accomplished man in his professional life. He was successfully self employed which included him owning his own construction company, laundromat, and later several rental properties. He was very well respected by his tenants, who viewed him not only as a land lord; but a long-time friend. Fishing was Ronald’s favorite hobby. He loved working in his garden and raising chickens.
Please join us in the celebration of Ronald’s life Friday, July 22nd. Public visitation will be held at Fey Funeral Home, St. Louis, Missouri, starting at 9:30 a.m. and services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Immediately following, at 12:30 p.m., his graveside service will be at Assumption Church Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
