In loving memory of Robert “Bob” Carl Stull, the son of William Lawrence and Minnie C. (Armbruster) Stull, born October 12, 1941, in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Cleveland High School in St. Louis, MO in 1960. After graduation, Bob enlisted in the United States Navy and served four years, primarily on submarine tenders, as a Machinery Repairman Third Class. Following his service he became an electrician in St. Louis and was a dedicated member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (Local 1) for fifty-seven years.
In 1999 Bob married the woman he called the “Best for Last,” Betty Jean Stull, the love of his life. They spent their final working years and the first years of their marriage in St. Louis, where they were active members of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. In their retirement years in Sebastian, FL they volunteered in a variety of ways. He was active at Sebastian United Methodist, serving as an usher and a furniture slinger extraordinaire in the church thrift store. He and Betty also cleaned Treasure Coast area beaches for 17 years.
Bob loved spending time with and volunteering alongside Betty. His other favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, and scuba diving. Even before retirement, he and Betty became intrepid travelers, fishing all across north America. In addition to Betty, Bob dearly loved his dog, Zoey, and pork chops. His favorite conversations typically revolved around asking veterans about their service and making a point of thanking them for it. In his final years, he never left anyone without wishing them a “super day.”
Bob is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Kim Elaine, brother Roy Allen, stepchildren James Maness (Mary Cadenasso), Gary Maness, and Toni (Kory) Tedrick, four step grandsons, a step granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Charles Louis.
A graveside service with military honors will be at New St. Johns Cemetery on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11 a.m.
