Marcus Edward Ehlers

Marcus Edward Ehlers was born on July 26, 2003, and passed away on June 28, 2026, at the age of 22.

Marcus was the beloved son of Jennifer Stelmach and Shane McVey; cherished grandson of Freda McVey (the late Rick Dunning), Lori Bucholtz, and the late Frank McVey; dear great grandson of Mary Stelmach; loving brother of Katherine McVey (Leo Esparza), Shane McVey Jr. (Sandra Mogg), Julia McVey, and Nicholas McVey; proud uncle of Renji, Kisuke, Aizen, Nelliel, and Latham; and a treasured nephew, cousin, and dear friend to many.

Marcus was an extraordinary young man whose compassion, humility, and unwavering kindness touched countless lives. He had a gentle soul and a generous heart, always willing to lend a helping hand or brighten someone’s day with his smile. To know Marcus was to know genuine love, loyalty, and acceptance.

He found joy in the simple moments—exploring the streets of St. Louis with friends, listening to music with his brother, helping neighbors whenever he could, and spending treasured time with his niece and nephews. Being an uncle was one of his greatest joys, and he was incredibly proud of each of them. His love for his family and friends was evident in everything he did.

Marcus will be remembered not only for the life he lived, but for the kindness he freely gave and the love he shared with everyone around him. His absence leaves an immeasurable void, but his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

Visitation at Fey Funeral Home on Friday, July 10 from 4 - 8 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m.
