Judith Audrey Evans, 84, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025. Born on August 16, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri. Judy touched many lives as a teacher, real estate agent, Master Gardener and volunteer.
Judy’s infectious love for nature and gardening cultivated spectacular gardens and prize-winning orchids, as well as a passion for gardening in family, friends and the community. She was an enthusiastic volunteer at the Missouri Botanical Gardens, the Orchid Society of Greater St. Louis, the Gateway Koi and Pond Club and Eliot Unitarian Chapel.
Judy is survived by her husband, Tom Evans; their two children Kent Evans and Michelle Evans, and their families; and her brother and two sisters. Judy is also survived by thousands of flowers and plants, lovingly gifted to her friends and family over the years.
The family is planning a private gathering. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Judy’s name to the Missouri Botanical Gardens.
