John "Jack" C. LaVine

John C. LaVine, known as “Jack", passed away on April 26, 2026, at the age of 80.

He was the loving father of John Boyer, Jackie LaVine, and the late Deanna LaVine; cherished grandfather of Eric Schnurr, Antonio Jarillo, and Brennan and Olivia Boyer; and proud great-grandfather of Aria and Grayson Schnurr. Jack was also a dear uncle, great-uncle, and friend to many.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca LaVine, and his brothers, Frank and Richard LaVine.  Jack was a longtime, dedicated employee of Hostess Bakery, where he was known for his strong work ethic. He took pride in staying busy and enjoyed working with his hands, possessing a natural mechanical talent, particularly in repairing automobiles and lawn equipment. Visitation will be held at Fey Funeral Home on Sunday, May 3, from 2-5 PM, with a service at 3:30 PM.
