John A. Waltersam

John A. Waltersam passed on January 1, 2023. Beloved spouse of late Paula (nee Raab) Waltersam; dear son of late Helen and Rudolf Waltersam Sr; brother of late Rudy Waltersam; father of Cynthia (nee Waltersam) McAleenan, Claudia (nee Waltersam) (Robert) Trende and the late Keith (Renee) Waltersam; uncle of Monica (nee Waltersam) Ledwon; grandfather of Drew McAleenan, Keith McAleenan (Lara),  Anika Van Lieshout, Cela Van Lieshout, Kyle (Kim) Waltersam, and Sarah (nee Waltersam) (Ian) Gilbert; great grandfather of James McAleenan, Brylee, Adalie, Paisley, and Everly Gilbert.  John was a proud WWII Army Veteran, landing in Europe on D-Day +10. He and his beloved wife Paula had their first date on the SS Admiral. They fell in love and married on January 27, 1951. 

Visitation at Fey Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. and then on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:30 p.m., with a procession immediately following to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for a true soldier's burial which will include a 21 Gun Salute and conclude with the playing of Taps.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Wounded Warrior Project.
