James was born on February 14, 1940 and passed on December 24, 2024. He was a very proud Navy veteran. Son of the late Joseph and Ethel Rooney. Beloved husband of Carolyn Rooney; father of Kathy (Dennis) Vogelsang, Karen (Mike) Sullivan, Jim (Jackie) Rooney Jr, Tom Rooney; step-father of late Loretta (Daniel) Bridges and the late Richard Brown; grandfather of Aimee Richter, Alex (Geoff) Petot, Aaron Rooney, Katelyn Sullivan, Hailey Sullivan, Sean and Sara Rooney, Trenton (Brandi) Seibel, Travis (Sarah) Seibel, Krystal (Kristopher) Poehl; great grandfather of Kaden Vogt, Aubree and Austin Petot, Audrey, Zoe and Mason Seibel, Lillie Poehl, Cooper Klaman and Rolland Seibel; brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin, friend of many. Visitation at Fey Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Burial following at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given to American Diabetes Association.
