Evelyn Mae Webelhuth (nee Schlecht)
Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the age of 88 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Fred R. Webelhuth. She is survived by six children: Ronald (Genevieve) Webelhuth, Jeannine (the late Donald) Eschelbach, Karen (Joseph) Buehler, Wm. Randy (Laurie) Webelhuth, Connie (Timothy) Henrion, and Wendy (Jeff) Muschong; sixteen grandchildren: Joseph (Jen) Buehler, Jr., Dr. Anna (Joe Gadell) Webelhuth, Katherine (Kyle) Gruenkemeyer, Emily (Jason) Logan, Gregory (Danielle) Eschelbach, David (Rev. Kathleen) Henrion, Dr. Melissa (Dr. Andrew) Hodge, Bradley (Catherine) Buehler, Amy Eschelbach, Elizabeth Henrion, Ellen Henrion, Jessica Schulze, Ashley Webelhuth, Jamie (Dr. Alec) Schroff, Jordan Schulze, and Logan Muschong Arnold; twenty-one great grandchildren: Drew, Maddy, and Brady Buehler; Maeve, Bret, and Gus Gadell; Eli, Josie, and Sydney Gruenkemeyer; Louisa and Larson Logan; Robert and Jack Eschelbach; Calvin, Leah, and Margaret Henrion; Jacob and Amelia Hodge; Hunter Jensen and Rhett and Jayce Buehler. Evelyn enjoyed many interests. She was an excellent cook, an avid gardener, and a designer of beautiful quilts. She was also fond of playing bingo and penny slot machines. Her faith was essential to her, and she served her parish over the years in many capacities. Evelyn’s greatest treasure was her family. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and hearing about the accomplishments of each person.
Services: Visitation Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish (Formerly Immaculate Conception Parish), 2300 Church Road, Arnold, MO 63010. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m. immediately following visitation. For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be live streamed at: https://icarnold.com/mass-videos. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred or donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital much appreciated.
