Alma Sneed (Neace) passed on December 7, 2022. Dear wife of the late Clifford Canterbury and Henry E. Sneed; daughter of the late John H. Neace and Emma M. Neace (Hicks); mother of Ruth Canterbury, Clifford J. "Kip" (Kelly Lasitter-Canterbury) Canterbury; sister of Cotton (the late Pat), Eddie (the late Liva), Earnest (Phyllis), Tom (Violet), Betty (Junior Marcum) and the late Bernie (the late Eva), Daryl (the late Sharon), Haskel (the late Dela), Gene (the late Bob Clair), Lola (the late Perry Potts); adoring grandmother of Ciara Anne Jackson, and Mariah Renee Canterbury (she enjoyed making their dance, skating and Halloween costumes); aunt, great aunt, great great aunt, cousin and friend of many. Alma was a CPA and owned her own business for 33 years. She was also a world traveler and Eastern Star member - Past Worthy Matron 5 times. She loved her dogs and cats and her favorite songs included Country Roads by John Denver, Coal Miner's Daughter by Loretta Lynn and Phantom of the Opera. Growing up in West Virginia, she literally walked over a mile from one school room to the other. Alma attended Guyan High School in Morgantown W. VA University and Washington University of St. Louis, where she earned her accounting degree. Visitation at Fey Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 13 from 4-8 p.m. and then on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of 9:30 a.m. Burial following at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Alzheimer's Association or Heart Association.
