Alan Paul Dempewolf

Alan Paul Dempewolf, age 69, passed away on April 7, 2023.  Alan was born on September 22, 1953. He grew up in St. Louis, MO and joined the Navy at the age 18. He served one tour at Vietnam on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Ranger.

Alan was predeceased by his parents, James and Helen Dempewolf, and siblings, Sheila Howard and David Rogers. He is survived by his siblings, Jim Dempewolf, Steve Dempewolf, Karen Barylski, Don Dempewolf, Michael Dempewolf, and Barbie Dempewolf Adrich. He is also survived by his children, Heather Carson, Jennifer Walkenhorst, Sean Dempewolf, Cynthia Madrigal, and Thomas Dempewolf as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren.

Alan was a fearless, funny, strong, affectionate, brave, smart, and kind person. He played guitar and sang. He was an expert canoeist and loved float trips on the Current River in Missouri with his family and friends. He was generous and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He never seemed afraid of anything. He will be dearly missed.

Gathering at Fey Funeral Home on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. to process to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for a graveside service and military honors at 12:30 p.m.
