Pauline Olive Levery

Pauline passed away peacefully on July 22, 2015 at the age of 93. She will be remembered for her love of her family, her strong faith and her stalwart spirit.  She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur H. Levery; dear mother of Zoe (Charles) Lance, Ora (Donna) Levery, Craig Levery, Keith Levery, Denise Levery, Eric (Geri) Levery and the late Ward Levery; treasured grandmother of Anne and Elizabeth Lance, Damian Levery, Samantha Babb, and Faith Levery. Pauline was also the cherished aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and a compassionate friend to many.

Pauline owned and operated two beauty salons in South County for over thirty years and was well respected in the community. She was an avid quilter and helped establish the Quilting Group of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque parish. The group fostered much fellowship and raised substantial funds for many parish activities. She was a Eucharistic minister and generously cooked for church funeral services as part of the "Marthas."

She was a master of multitasking: mothering seven children, running two businesses, and volunteering. She was steadfast in her support and quiet encouragement of others, giving all of her heart and hands in any endeavor. Her love of music and art led her to both organ and painting lessons in her senior years and brought much joy to her family. Pauline loved to travel and had many amazing adventures around the globe, her favorite being a cruise to the Black Sea. She was a very fashionable woman, always dressing with tasteful flair. One of her most defining qualities was her drive and determination. It was evident every day of her life; whether it was to go on a spur of the moment adventure or, in her later years, to physically rehabilitate herself to get back to independent living.

Memorial donations may be given to Mary Queen and Mother Center, PT Dept., 7601 Watson Rd., St. Louis, MO 63119 by check or online with the notation, Pauline Levery Memorial.
